2012年結成、愛知県の4人組インストゥルメンタルバンド。2本のエレキギター、エレキベース、ドラムというシンプルな構成ながらも緻密に編み込まれた音の反復とポリリズムが生み出す圧倒的な没入感と、広がり続ける曲展開は派手さこそないがプリミティブかつジャンルレスな音楽体験を聴く者に提案する。複雑に入り組むビートに絡み合うパーカッシブなギター、規則的でストイックなベースラインは次第に姿を変えてゆく。曲全体で沸点をギリギリまで下げ、淡々と且つ着実に熱を帯びてゆく展開は移りゆく景色の流れと感情の変化を想起させる。呪術的で原始的。難解なのにダンサブル。ミニマルでありながらエモーショナルなインテリジェント・ダンス・ロック！NEU!、THIS HEAT、P.I.L.からWARP records、R&S records等の初期IDMアーティスト周辺や、GANG GANG DANCE、!!!、BATTLES、MI AMI、DAWN OF MIDI、GORT、 BONANZASの様な脳ミソから踊りたくなるアーティストが好きな方は人生の名盤になるコト間違い無しです。

Formed in 2012, Oavette is a 4 person band from Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Oavette consists of two electric guitars, electric bass and drums. They have a simple yet repetitive composition woven into their sound. An overwhelming immersive feeling is produced by a polyrhythm which spreads over the course of their songs. Percussive guitar is intertwined with complicated drum beats, while the baseline stoically builds to the very end of their songs. Oavette’s songs evolve steadily, flowing through the moving scenery while gradually changing in emotion. Their music can best be described as atmospheric yet primitive, minimal yet intelligent.
